SHS 8.25.12.

This is the library where I work. Doesn't reading count as School?
School
So before last Saturday when I saw the list of prompts for this week I had never heard of the rule of thirds.
I ignored it until earlier today then I read about it a bit. I'm still not quite sure about it, but I would like to figure the whole sheebang out! So does this picture apply to it at all?
Rule Of Thirds
Does this count as a side profile picture?  I thought I had some but then I couldn't find any..
Side Profile
Bottles of nail polish are so small yet go such a long way! I have been using nail polish for a long time but I have yet to actually finish a bottle :P
Small
Or rather, lack of motion. Since there has been so little rain this summer the stream in the woods literally isn't moving!

I don't know if I've ever finished a bottle of nail polish either! Interesting thought. Have a great week!

I like that school shot, and come to think about it, I don't think I have ever finished a bottle of polish either.

I think you nailed the rule of thirds. And nailed the small on the nail polish. Beautiful cat, btw!!

I'm not too sure about the rule of thirds but in any the photo you used for it is gorgeous. I also really like the the tree relection in the motion photo.

Dear Yolanda,

What really intrigues me here is how you got "Chickens on the Moon" around your nail polish bottle. Is that really on the bottle or is that the label on the picture? Wowsy!

Also, is the tree in Motion the same as the tree in Rules of Thirds. It looks like a reflection of it.

Lastly, I had to google "rule of thirds" to get my picture. My interpretation was that points of interest are better captured if caught on an intersecting line or follow a line completely when the viewed area is divided into 9 equal parts as you have illustrated so well. Any photographers out there want to elaborate for us?

Fun time here,
Dawn

The library certainly works for school. You did a great job with rule of thirds. The above explanation is wonderful. The only thing I could add would be to place what you want as the focus where the lines cross.
