So the other day I was looking at the Button quail and I noticed this behind the little play box.
So I opened up the cage and took it out and started going all bonkers yelling "The little spotted Button quail layed an egg!"over and over.
I had never even seen a button quail egg before that day!
This is the one who layed the egg. Her name is Spotty.

What a beautiful egg. It is so tiny!
That's exciting and the egg is so small - I'm glad you put the nickel there for comparison.
It's so very precious.
that is a very tiny egg
Thanks! It would have been hard to tell how big the actual egg was if I hadn't.
And cute!
I know right!
It is a beauty!
oh my gosh how absolutely beautiful ... both the egg and the hen!!!
What a tiny egg!
Spotty is very sweet :)
Regards and best wishes
We find tiny quail eggs in our year every spring. Some doves have hatched out recently, as well, and one of the fledglings ended up on the ground. I was very proud of Mulligan because he only sniffed it. I put it in an old hanging basket near the nest, and eventually it flew away.
Thats really cool!
That's cool. We were at the farm supply store the other day and saw some tiny tiny chinese quails...they were about an inch tall and will be 4" when adults. So cute.
Yeah they are so cute!
Wow. Wow! This is so cool!
Spotty is a beauty! And that egg is so perfect and tiny!
Are you going to let it hatch?
Thanks for a really neat link for Alphabe-Thursday's letter 'P'.
