Eggs

This is the fake nest I made for the hens a few weeks ago hoping they would start laying again. They layed a few eggs about a week after I made this and they didn't lay any eggs after that until yesterday and today. 2 yesterday and 2 today. I ate one earlier and it was DELICIOUS.
So far all of the Green eggs are from one of the little hens, Whisper (because she never makes any noise).

Whisper.

The brown egg from yesterday is from Lily (which she layed in the duck egg nest). And then brown egg from today is from Tomato.

Tomato.

UPDATE: I just went outside and found 2 more eggs from Lady and Lily!

It's so nice to have fresh eggs. When my birds were free ranging, I never knew what combination of chicken, duck and goose eggs I was going to find in the nest.

Do you think if I make a fake bedroom for my 20 year old son somewhere outside the house he would get the hint, lol?

Whisper is a fine looking hen! We don't have any that lay green eggs, but we do have one that lays blue.

There's nothing as pretty as a fresh egg -- great shots. :)

Hello Yolanda, our daughter and her family have chickens. One of them lays colored eggs. I enjoyed my visit to your blog. Thank you for joining us in the blog hop. Hugs and happy weekend wishes!
