This is one of my new hens that I got on Tuesday.

She doesn't have a name yet, any ideas?

She is a full Ameraucana.

She is between 1 and 3 years of age.

The other day as we were going out to eat for my birthday there was this hot air balloon getting ready to go up in a field right by the restaurant! I spent 10mins out there snapping bunches of photos. This was my favorite.

I sharpened and upped the clarity and used Tranquil, all done at picmonkey.com.

New Hens!

So far this is the only one who actually likes me, but she doesn't have a name yet.

So this is one of my chickens how just recently got eaten, I think its crazy how much she looks like the girl in the next picture.

This girl, HATES me. Like a lot. I spent forever chasing her around just so I could catch her and take a picture. Anyone have any idea what breed she is?

Mythy does not like the new girls one bit, she kept coming up and fighting with them through the fence. Sorry about the quality of this picture! I was using a lot of zoom.

This is all of them together. There are 4 Ameraucana's and I have no clue what the white and tan one is.

They all range between 1 to 3 years old.

L is for Lady and Lily

This is Lady,

and this is Lily.

I got them both from the Cackle Hatchery in Montana 5 years ago. They are both Black Australorps. They stopped laying eggs earlier this year.

Is the past 3 weeks, 5 of my hens and 3 of my roosters have got eaten.

So that left me with 11 hens and 3 roosters (and the 3 baby rooster chicks).

Yesterday I got 5 new hens so yay!

They were in what I call "Chicken Prison"

They had nothing fresh and green to eat, all had mites.

Since their diets weren't complete (I'm guessing they only had corn) they picked on each other constantly.

As you can see in the first pic they barely have tails.
